Deliver Meals With Love

Project Open Hand’s mission is to nourish and engage our community by providing meals with love to the sick and the elderly. Distribution volunteers will help deliver nutritious meals with love – along with a smile and “hello” - to clients in Project Open Hand’s Wellness program.

Volunteers assist with packing out and delivering meals to homebound clients using their personal vehicle. Volunteers often help pack the meals in food-safe travel packs prior to beginning their delivery.

Please note: Driver's license and insurance are required.

Afternoon Shift - December Holidays

Volunteers at our 730 Polk St. location help prepare, assemble, and distribute 2,500 nutritious meals and nearly 200 bags of healthy groceries to our clients. Groups may work in either the Kitchen and/or the Grocery center based on the agency’s needs for the day.

Your shift will begin with an orientation. Tasks may include sorting, bagging, culling food items, stocking our Grocery Center shelves, chopping and dicing whole food and/or assembling meal packages for our clients to pick up.
